Our 'Integrated Learning Through Play' them for October was 'Autumn/Halloween'. Stations included socio-dramatic, creative, sand, small world, construction and literacy. The children made items relating to Autumn with playdough and they drew faces on pumpkins. They built sheds for the farm animals and they looked for items relating to Autumn/Halloween in the sand. They took on the role of various Halloween characters in the Witch's Kitchen and made a hibernation station for 'Harry the Hedgehog' using shoeboxes and natural materials. We also had a literacy station in our classroom and children were invited to cut, glue, write and draw about Halloween/Autumn.
